SCHEDULE
Lesson times are available according to the following schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, and Friday until 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday and Thursday until 6:00 p.m.
Last Saturday afternoon of each month until 3:00 p.m. (Reserved for make-up lessons).
PRICING
The price of music instruction is $20 a week per half hour lesson payable monthly. For instance, in a month comprised of four lessons, $80 will be due at the first of each month; in a month comprised of five lessons, $100 will be due at the first of each month.
Lesson fees do not include the cost of books and materials. The cost of materials is based upon the age and experience of the student. The average price for the first set of books for a beginner child is $25-$35.
PAYMENT
An invoice for the next month’s lesson fees will be available on the last lesson of each month. Payments are due by the first lesson of the new month. Payments can be received by cash or personal check. There will be an additional $25 fee for any returned checks.
There will be a late fee of $5 for any payments received after the 15th of the month. Gaston Music Studio reserves the right to suspend a student’s lessons if payment is 30 days past due. Lessons will not resume until the past month’s payment and the new month’s payment have been paid in full. In the case of suspension, there is no guarantee that a student’s original lesson time will be available. If not, a new lesson time will be scheduled based on availability.
ABSENCES
In order to ensure the progress of each student, weekly attendance to the scheduled lesson time is vital. As a result, it is important that lesson attendance be a priority for each student.
No refund or credit will be given for missed lessons, however, make-up lessons will be available at the instructor’s discretion. It is requested that the instructor be contacted at least 24 hours before any absence, or by 9:00 a.m. the day of the lesson in the case of sickness.
ONLINE FEATURES
Gaston Music Studio provides a fun and easy way for both students and parents to keep track of important lesson information. Each student will be given their own username and password to access www.gastonmusicstudio.com.
With this login, you can view your scheduled lesson times, keep track of practice times throughout the week, and see the instructor’s notes from the previous week’s lesson. If necessary, you can also request a cancellation as well as apply for a make-up lesson. Adult students and parents can also login to see a copy of their current invoice.
